posting gap and beta testing

Hi all. I haven't written in a while for two reasons. First, I was on vacation last week on an island in the Carribean without either cell phone reception or internet access (the lack of which being the key factors in choosing the island I went to). Second, we're in hard-core development mode here in the Marvel.com Design and Coding Pagoda, which means that neither I nor my crack team are seeing much of the outside right now, which leave little time for blog posts. So, yeah, sorry about the lack of postage.

Anyway, on to business. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage with this blog compared to the editorial ones, because while there's always a lot of exciting changes and projects going on in this office, I can't just post a preview page like the editors to show them to you. Most of the stuff we're working on is either hush-hush or, well, not completely stable until we decide to launch it, so I can't really show it to you guys until it's up. That is, until now. We're beginning the process of beta testing a few key applications on Marvel.com and we need you, the marvel.com users, to help.

If you want to become a beta-tester, simply click this link and fill out the form that pops up. It's helpful if you've had beta-testing experience but it's not required by any means. You probably won't get anything for it other than the joy of seeing cool stuff before anyone else and our sincerest thanks.

so if i enter your dog food program...
your apps won't crash my system or infect my network will they?

or is your beta program more like blind taste testing or "here, drink this" type stuff??

the wierdest thing just happened some thing just came on my speakers i don't know wat that crap was but it was scary so ur program will u get some hot girl's digits (phone number) so i can call it?

how could beta software infect your computer? that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. anyway, i applied, hopefully i'll be chosen. :)

How do you get hero points? Is it from posting on web blogs like this???? Or is hero points still be beta tested???
