Each week we highlight a classic storyline told in full inside Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, the greatest collection of Marvel comics available online! This week we focus on the formation of the Ultimates, culminating with Hulk's rampage through New York City from ULTIMATES #1-#6, by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch!
 The Ultimate Universe, a fresh take on Marvel characters and mythology in a more "real world" setting, was looked at trepidatiously by the world at large. With good reason, right? Why reinvent the wheel? Well, the proof is in the pudding, as they say. And Millar and Hitch's ULTIMATES provided for some tasty pudding!
Shifting origins, tweaking personalities and putting different spins on familiar characters, the creators immediately knocked this Ultimate take on the Avengers out of the park. But it wasn't until Bruce Banner transformed into the Hulk in ULTIMATES #4, furiously shouting, "Hulk want Freddie Prinze Junior!" that fans knew things were off the hook.
